Brooks Lalli
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting One thing's for sure, late in the game you're glad you have him on the field. In past seasons, Lalli has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Lalli is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense His defense is solid but unspectacular. Brooks's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Lalli isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.
2025 Outlook Lalli isn't cutting the mustard in the low minors. It's time for Brooks to investigate other career options, like coaching highschool ball.
