Odis Lefebure
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching Lefebure's control is among the best in the game. When his release point drops below three-quarters, his fastball tends to hang in the strike zone. Because he can't overpower hitters, Lefebure has to fool them instead. Lefebure gives up his share of home runs, but is always around the plate and doesn't give up many walks. He's trying to develop a sinker, but as of yet it's been well below par. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.
Defense & Hitting His pickoff move is only fair. He tends to fall off slightly to the first-base side of the mound, making him vulnerable to bunts toward third base. He makes up for that minor flaw by being aggressive in fielding his position. Lefebure is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Lefebure has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Lefebure as a pinch-runner on occasion.
