Mo Mahoney
Right Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting The book on Mahoney is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Let's face facts: Mahoney hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense Mahoney doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. Mahoney isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.
