Delino Malcolm   Left Fielder | Free Agents Hitting Malcolm seems to become especially focused in big situations. The book on Malcolm is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Malcolm always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. Baserunning & Defense Malcolm gets excellent jumps in the outfield, which more than make up for his average speed, and he's fearless around the outfield wall. He's also one of the better throwing leftfielders in the league. Malcolm doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often. 2025 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Malcolm to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.           -- Moostard Nyman
