Twink Mulford   Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. With his slap-hitting approach, Mulford always hits like he already has two strikes. The results are usually groundballs or line drives to the opposite field. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Mulford when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. You can expect Twink Mulford to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.
