David Mullen   Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting The book on Mullen is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Mullen always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. Baserunning & Defense Mullen is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. Minor league scouts have accused Mullen of being a liability in the field. David's arm leaves a little to be a desired. 2025 Outlook Mullen was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year.
