Roger Nutsford   Right Fielder | Free Agents Hitting He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. The book on Nutsford is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. I tell you, it's a real trip to watch this kid play. He gives 110% all the time... unfortunately that means he tends to run out of gas as the game wears on. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Baserunning & Defense Nutsford doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often. Nutsford doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. His arm is accurate enough. 2025 Outlook I can't say I know what The Free Agents were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best.           -- Moostard Nyman
