Tony Oliva
Center Fielder | Free Agents
Hitting This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Oliva always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him.
Baserunning & Defense Oliva isn't a fluid center fielder, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. He has a strong, accurate arm. Oliva isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.
2025 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Oliva to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
