Hitting
Outen has quick hands and is able to cover the entire plate. Outen always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He doesn't perform well against right-handed pitching. He likes to pull the ball, but don't be surprised if he puts the ball the opposite field from time to time. He's a smart batter and takes good note of how the fielders are shading him.
Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is exceptional in both in strength and accuracy. Outen is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
2025 Outlook
In one full big league season, Outen already has done more than what scouts projected when he came out of college.
