Hoge Paton
Third Baseman | Kelowna Okanagans
Hitting In past seasons, Paton has been a bit of a liability with men on base. Paton always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him.
Baserunning & Defense Aggressive on the basepaths, Paton is a good basestealer and takes the extra base when needed most. He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.
2025 Outlook The Kelowna Okanagans signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Paton like a hot potato if something better comes along.
