Bumpus Pere   Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting In past seasons, Pere has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Pere is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Let's face facts: Pere hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. Don't be surprised if The Retired or Inactive Players's manager sits Pere when you throw your ace lefty. For some reason, he just can't figure out the southpaw. Baserunning & Defense Pere has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. 2025 Outlook Pere flat-out isn't ready for this level of competition.
