Yogi Reposa
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching Reposa can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.
Defense & Hitting He's reasonably quick to the plate but needs to vary his pickoff moves. Good baserunners appeared to time him last year. He hurts himself by falling awkwardly off the mound in his follow-through, which allows too many balls to go through the middle for base hits. Reposa is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Reposa has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Reposa as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2025 Outlook One has to wonder what Yogi Reposa is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Reposa.
