Andy Rowe
Left Fielder | Free Agents
Hitting The book on Rowe is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Rowe always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Free Agents do tend to sit Rowe when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.
Baserunning & Defense Rowe isn't a fluid left fielder, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. Rowe doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often.
2025 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Rowe to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
