Ruscoe seems to become especially focused in big situations. The book on Ruscoe is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. I tell you, it's a real trip to watch this kid play. He gives 110% all the time... unfortunately that means he tends to run out of gas as the game wears on. Ruscoe always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense
Ruscoe isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. Kevin's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
2025 Outlook
Ruscoe was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year. I think The Retired or Inactive Players just didn't want to be left out of the Rule-V draft, why else would you sign Ruscoe?
