Carl Sawyer
Starting Pitcher | Cobourg Stampeders
Pitching Sawyer's control is among the best in the game. Sawyer also has a solid changeup that he'll use at any point in the count. Because he can't overpower hitters, Sawyer has to fool them instead. Sawyer gives up his share of home runs, but is always around the plate and doesn't give up many walks. His composure needs work. When Sawyer starts getting hit, he gets mad and loses concentration. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.
Defense & Hitting He has a fair pickoff move and isn't a particularly easy target for basestealers. He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. Sawyer is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Sawyer has some pop in his swing.
