Brett Storck
Starting Pitcher | Free Agents
Pitching Storck is a control pitcher; when he's on he has pinpoint control. He can get groundballs when he needs them in a jam. He's a good late inning man, which is when being a pitcher really counts. Storck has to keep the ball down, especially against lefties, or he gets hit hard and often. Sometimes I wish he'd just give up on throwing the changeup, it's like a BP ball! Dating back to his days in the minors, Storck has been more effective against righthanders than lefthanders.
Defense & Hitting He's average in terms of controlling the running game. Storck is nothing special in the field. Storck is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Storck has some pop in his swing.
2025 Outlook I can't say I know what The Free Agents were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best. I just don't know if The Free Agents are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
