Curly Striegel
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting In past seasons, Striegel has been a bit of a liability with men on base. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Striegel always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.
Baserunning & Defense He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. Striegel is a poor defensive catcher. He isn't very mobile or adept at blocking balls in the dirt. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.
