Lavern Sweasy   Left Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. With his slap-hitting approach, Sweasy always hits like he already has two strikes. The results are usually groundballs or line drives to the opposite field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Lavern Sweasy to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is. Baserunning & Defense Sweasy doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Sweasy you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. 2025 Outlook One has to wonder what Lavern Sweasy is doing in AA.
