But Giff's detracters are quick to call attention to his ongoing struggles at the plate with men on base. Tanikella always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Baserunning & Defense Tanikella isn't a fluid catcher, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. Tanikella is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. 2025 Outlook Tanikella flat-out isn't ready for this level of competition.
