Leo Thake
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting One of the nice things about Leo is that he's a real clutch hitter. If it's late in the game, and there are men on base, you want this guy at the plate. The book on Thake is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Thake always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. Minor league scouts have accused Thake of being a liability in the field. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.
