Moskal Thomson   First Baseman | Quebec Bulldogs Hitting Thomson provides an ongoing clinic on how to hit .300. He works the count in his favor, waiting for his pitch or settling for a walk. He's still a singles hitter at heart, and knows how to shorten up and protect the plate with two strikes. Thomson was a line-drive hitter when he first came up, but over the last few years has become more of a true home-run hitter, lofting more high flyballs. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him. His home runs tend to come on balls that he can pull down the right-field line. Baserunning & Defense Thomson's range at first baseman isn't exceptional, but he has very soft hands and a strong, accurate arm. He's very dependable. Thomson isn't a good baserunner.
