He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Ben Twombly has made a career of putting the ball to the opposite field. That's rare in this day and age.

Baserunning & Defense
Twombly has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner. Twombly doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. Ben's arm leaves a little to be a desired.

2025 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Twombly to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
