Mark VanCampen
Second Baseman | Toronto Polar Bears
Hitting VanCampen is an excellent mistake hitter who belts middle-of-the-plate fastballs or hanging breaking balls. In past seasons, VanCampen has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Left field, right field, center: this guy puts it all over.
Baserunning & Defense His arm and range are average, and he has a tendency to get lazy with his feet. VanCampen is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
2025 Outlook I can't say I know what The Toronto Polar Bears were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best. If VanCampen doesn't perform, the Toronto Polar Bears won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
