SteveL Vaughn
Shortstop | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Vaughn was a line-drive hitter when he first came up, but over the last few years has become more of a true home-run hitter, lofting more high flyballs. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Vaughn when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. He uses the entire field and has gap power.
Baserunning & Defense He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. SteveL's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Vaughn is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
