Quinn Yanagawa
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching Yanagawa can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. Yanagawa has to keep the ball down, especially against lefties, or he gets hit hard and often. Dating back to his days in the minors, Yanagawa has been more effective against righthanders than lefthanders.
Defense & Hitting His pickoff move is merely average. He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. Yanagawa is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Yanagawa has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Yanagawa as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2025 Outlook If Yanagawa doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors. I just don't know if The Retired or Inactive Players are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
