Hitting
The book on Abbate is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Abbate always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense
Abbate isn't a fluid first baseman, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. Charlee's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Abbate doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often.
2025 Outlook
One has to wonder what Charlee Abbate is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
