Hitting
This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him.

Baserunning & Defense
His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. Aldridge doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. His arm is accurate enough.

2025 Outlook
One has to wonder what Irv Aldridge is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
