Xavier Anderson
Right Fielder | Grand Rapids Red Dogs
Hitting With his ability to hit for average and his sound batting eye, he makes a good No. 2 hitter. He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. Anderson always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Don't be surprised if The Grand Rapids Red Dogs's manager sits Anderson when you throw your ace lefty. For some reason, he just can't figure out the southpaw. Anderson tends to zone in on the power-alleys. Most of his outfield hits are to left and right center.
Baserunning & Defense Anderson also has toned down the careless and overaggressive mistakes he used to make. He's still adept at making sliding catches on balls near the foul line. His arm is accurate enough. Anderson's speed is now average at best and he steals only infrequently.
2025 Outlook The Grand Rapids Red Dogs signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Anderson like a hot potato if something better comes along.
