Orestes Astley   Left Fielder | Calgary Remparts Hitting Let's face facts: Astley hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. The Calgary Remparts do tend to sit Astley when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. Baserunning & Defense Astley isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. Minor league scouts have accused Astley of being a liability in the field. Orestes's arm leaves a little to be a desired. 2025 Outlook The Calgary Remparts signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Astley like a hot potato if something better comes along.           -- Moostard Nyman
