Hitting
Bains never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. The switch-hitting Bains remains more effective from the left side. You can expect Nathan Bains to pull the ball.
Baserunning & Defense
Bains doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Bains you're not putting him in for his glove. Nathan's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
2025 Outlook
What The Calgary Remparts was thinking when they signed Bains to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks. Bains isn't cutting the mustard in the low minors. It's time for Nathan to investigate other career options, like coaching highschool ball.
