Pitching
He's a good late inning man, which is when being a pitcher really counts. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. If you're going in to face Barbo, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. But Barbo, do us a favor. Stop throwing that changeup. It looks like a beachball. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.

Defense & Hitting
He never has controlled the running game. Barbo seems distracted after his delivery. He's sometimes out of position, fails to cover a base or doesn't back up throws. Barbo is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Barbo has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Barbo as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2025 Outlook
One has to wonder what Jordanjay Barbo is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Barbo.
