Chipper Blackett
Second Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting The book on Blackett is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. With his slap-hitting approach, Blackett always hits like he already has two strikes. The results are usually groundballs or line drives to the opposite field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Chipper Blackett to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.
Baserunning & Defense When you play Blackett you're not putting him in for his glove. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal.
