Vern Blower   Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Blower always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Baserunning & Defense Blower isn't a fluid catcher, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. Blower isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. 2025 Outlook Blower flat-out isn't ready for this level of competition.
