Bubba Boggs   Shortstop | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting The book on Boggs is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. I tell you, it's a real trip to watch this kid play. He gives 110% all the time... unfortunately that means he tends to run out of gas as the game wears on. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. Baserunning & Defense Boggs isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. Minor league scouts have accused Boggs of being a liability in the field.
