Chong Wittich
Right Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting The book on Wittich is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. With his slap-hitting approach, Wittich always hits like he already has two strikes. The results are usually groundballs or line drives to the opposite field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Chong Wittich to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.
Baserunning & Defense Wittich isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. Wittich doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.
