Bill Camper
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting One thing's for sure, late in the game you're glad you have him on the field. One of the nice things about Bill is that he's a real clutch hitter. If it's late in the game, and there are men on base, you want this guy at the plate. Camper never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.
Baserunning & Defense His defense is solid but unspectacular. Bill's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Camper's absolutely no threat to steal and doubles must be obvious for him to chance advancing.
2025 Outlook One has to wonder what Bill Camper is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
