Dylan Cheeks
Shortstop | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting One thing's for sure, late in the game you're glad you have him on the field. He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Cheeks always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense Cheeks is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. Minor league scouts have accused Cheeks of being a liability in the field. His arm is accurate enough.
2025 Outlook Cheeks was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year. I think The Retired or Inactive Players just didn't want to be left out of the Rule-V draft, why else would you sign Cheeks?
