Hitting
Daniels has quick hands and is able to cover the entire plate. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Simon Daniels has made a career of putting the ball to the opposite field. That's rare in this day and age.

Baserunning & Defense
Daniels isn't a fluid second baseman, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. No longer much of a threat to steal, he's smart enough to make pitchers pay if they ignore him.
