Buckshot Dec
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. With his slap-hitting approach, Dec always hits like he already has two strikes. The results are usually groundballs or line drives to the opposite field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. You can expect Buckshot Dec to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.
Baserunning & Defense Dec doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.
