Bill Nelson@
Second Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. But Bill's detracters are quick to call attention to his ongoing struggles at the plate with men on base. Nelson always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.
Baserunning & Defense Nelson doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often. Minor league scouts have accused Nelson of being a liability in the field. Bill's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
