Rayshon Gabaldon
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching Gabaldon will give up home runs, but rarely with the game on the line. He struggles with his command at times and is still learning to mix his pitches and set up hitters. When his release point drops below three-quarters, his fastball tends to hang in the strike zone. Gabaldon also has a decent changeup. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.
Defense & Hitting His move to first isn't very good, but his delivery is fairly quick and he isn't overly vulnerable to the stolen base. He hurts himself by falling awkwardly off the mound in his follow-through, which allows too many balls to go through the middle for base hits. Gabaldon is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Gabaldon has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Gabaldon as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2025 Outlook If Gabaldon doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors. I just don't know if The Retired or Inactive Players are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
