Bob Hulse
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.
Baserunning & Defense He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. Hulse is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
2025 Outlook Hulse isn't cutting the mustard in the low minors. It's time for Bob to investigate other career options, like coaching highschool ball.
