Spencer Landrum
Left Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting In past seasons, Landrum has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Landrum is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Spencer Landrum to pull the ball.
Baserunning & Defense Landrum isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. Minor league scouts have accused Landrum of being a liability in the field. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.
