Darryle Litteer
Relief Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. Litteer also has a decent changeup. If you're going in to face Litteer, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. When you throw a curveball, it better break. Hanging curves equal earned runs in this league, you just can't get away with them. Unfortunately, Litteer's curveball tends to hang. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.
Defense & Hitting Litteer does an average job of holding runners. A shaky fielder, he's slow to react to grounders and often looks unsure on his throws to the bases. Litteer is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Litteer has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Litteer as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2025 Outlook One has to wonder what Darryle Litteer is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Litteer.
