Cecilio Lyles
Left Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. The book on Lyles is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Lyles always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Lyles when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.
Baserunning & Defense His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. Minor league scouts have accused Lyles of being a liability in the field. Cecilio's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
