Tony Morton
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
In past seasons, Morton has been a bit of a liability with men on base. Let's face facts: Morton hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Tony Morton to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Morton you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. Morton has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.

2025 Outlook
Morton has below average skills, even for the low minors. One has to expect the Retired or Inactive Players will give him his walking papers before the end of the season.
