Bob Sexton
Catcher | Kelowna Okanagans
Hitting Sexton's long arms help him generate tremendous power when he connects. Problem is, his long swing makes him an easy mark for strikeouts. Sexton was a line-drive hitter when he first came up, but over the last few years has become more of a true home-run hitter, lofting more high flyballs. The statistics don't lie: Sexton gets most of his home runs against lefties. His strength is in the gaps.
Baserunning & Defense Sexton plays a near-flawless catcher, making very few errors. His arm is accurate enough. Sexton is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
