Andrew Berkeybill
Shortstop | Guelph Storm
Hitting Berkeybill was a line-drive hitter when he first came up, but over the last few years has become more of a true home-run hitter, lofting more high flyballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. His home runs tend to come on balls that he can pull down the left-field line.
Baserunning & Defense Berkeybill isn't a fluid shortstop, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. Berkeybill is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
2025 Outlook The Guelph Storm were smart, they locked Berkeybill up to a long term contract. Berkeybill performance in AAA is making it difficult for the Guelph Storm to ignore him much longer. Expect his name to be on the September call-up list.
