Alf Nagg
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting The book on Nagg is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Alf Nagg to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.
Baserunning & Defense He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. Nagg doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often.
