Hitting
Nelson has quick hands and is able to cover the entire plate. Nelson always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him. Left field, right field, center: this guy puts it all over.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. Nelson may be the slowest runner ever to steal 30 bases in a season. He makes up for his lack of speed with a quick first step, uncanny instincts and a peerless grasp of game situations.

2025 Outlook
Nelson is ready for the big time. The Regina Pirates will call him up as soon as they can figure out who to send down. Nelson is in charge when he's at the plate.
